Intro to Ice Climbing

experience a new fun challenge

The magical Hyalite Canyon – “an internationally recognized ice climbing venue” – is the perfect environment to get into this unique sport. This one day program focuses on developing a strong foundation for novice ice climbers.

We’ll start with a basic ground school to cover equipment selection and fitting, tying into the rope and belaying, and basic movement technique. The majority of the day is spent climbing, practicing and coaching good technique.
