Tom Kingsbury & Patrick Odenbeck

We kicked off spring rock-season this April with a conversation with two of the most genuine and solid climbers we know, Patrick Odenbeck (@POdenbeck) and Tom Kingsbury (@MT_Bouldering). Both Pat and Tom have a knack for developing outstanding lines and zones, from the Beartooth Mountains to the Pipestone Boulder Batholith.

This seventh installment of the MMA Speaker Series covers the gamut; however, we focused on the years of work in the desert and their iconic line, The Great Bear (IV 5.11c R), in a remote cirque of the Beartooths, put up onsight in a 13-hour push with no fixed gear.

This presentation was insightful as listeners got to hear the history behind the Boulder Batholith as well as vicariously experiencing the jaw dropping Pisce Wall ascent.

A $15 donation is suggested for viewing these videos to help Montana Mountaineering Association provide low to no-cost mountain experiences for marginalized, underrepresented, and at-risk populations.
