Ross Peak Alpine Rock Climbing
the sweeping crown jewel of the Bridgers
The north face of Ross Peak in the Bridger Range is one of the jewels of the Bozeman area. Home to alpine rock climbs up to 1000' long and with grades ranging from 5.9 to 5.12, Ross Peak is a spectacular alpine rock climbing objective.
You'll meet early at Spire Climbing + Fitness in Bozeman, MT to get equipment sorted for the day, then make the drive to the Ross Pass Trailhead in the Bridger Range to start the hike in. The hike to the base of the north face typically takes 2-3 hours, followed by the climb and descent back to the car.
A high degree of fitness is required, as is prior rock climbing experience. Contact us using the form on this page to schedule a date. The typical season for climbing on Ross Peak runs from early July to the end of September (or whenever the first winter storm hits the Bridgers).
