Our free summer tech clinic series kicks off Tuesday, 6/4/2024 at 6pm at Uphill Pursuits. When multi-pitch climbing, being able to give slack from above is a key skill, whether performing a rescue or giving your partner some slack to clean a piece of gear. We’ll review belaying from above, and then teach different methods of giving slack using different belay devices. This is only one piece of climbing partner rescue, but is one that’s applicable well beyond just a rescue scenario.
