Cancellation Policy

Learn the skills to move and stay safe in multi-pitch terrain. This course is for people who have experience climbing, either indoors or outdoors, and want to move to multi-pitch terrain.

Topics include:

  • Route-finding

  • Advanced anchor building

  • Techniques for efficient climbing

  • Rappelling and descent options

  • Multi-pitch belay techniques including top-belays

What’s included:

  • All technical climbing equipment, including harness, helmet, carabiners, rock climbing shoes (participants may choose to use their own equipment provided it passes guide inspection)

  • Guide wage, 3% land use fee, and all other administrative costs

Not included:

  • Food

  • Personal clothing layers

  • Transportation to and from the climbing site

Location

This program takes place either in Gallatin Canyon, about 30 minutes south of Bozeman, or in the Bridger Range, about 45 minutes north of Bozeman. Location depends on weather and conditions, and your objectives for the day. Either way, you’ll meet your guide at Spire Climbing Center in Bozeman, and caravan to the crag from there.
