Custom Avalanche Rescue Seminar
are you ready for when things go sideways?
Avalanche education and rescue training is a lifelong craft to pursue, hone, and practice. This is a customized group course available for those who are looking to level up their abilities in partner rescue, patient care, and emergency response. We’ll work with you to tailor the day to your group’s specific goals, needs, strengths, and areas for development.
Whether you’re pushing further into the backcountry and are more reliant upon partners and prolonged patient care; getting ready to step into the world of ski guiding or avalanche education and want to tune up for managing a group; or want additional practice and feedback after a Rescue Fundamentals course, we will work with you to further your craft in the backcountry. In the Custom Avalanche Rescue Seminar we’ll go further than a Rescue Fundamentals course, putting you in customized scenarios for your group that will require patient assessment, injury management, communication with other parties, and other aspects of a real avalanche incident. We’ll then give your whole group feedback on the scenario, with areas of strength, areas for development, and suggestions for next steps.
This course is best taught to a group of at least two people (but can be taught to an individual) who are familiar skiing/riding with each other, either in the resort or in the backcountry, and within which there is at least some level of previous avalanche rescue training.
The total cost of this course is:
